Web3 for SaaS People: What Web2 Software Categories Could Be Disrupted?

A conversation with Lindsey Li at Bessemer

If you read my post about my fireside chat with Colin Evran at Protocol Labs, you know that I went down the crypto rabbit hole in 2017. At that time, most innovations were occurring in the infrastructure layer. But over the last year or so, we've seen a burgeoning of the Web3 application layer, primarily for consumer use cases like NFTs. More recently, and more interestingly from my standpoint, we've started to see an emerging B2B application layer. I'm very excited about exploring the question of, what do these emerging Web3 B2B applications mean for Web2 SaaS people?

I explored that question today with Lindsey Li, an investor at Bessemer Venture Partners. We discuss three categories of Web3 B2B apps -- payroll, analytics, and taxes -- and why Web3 offers a unique value proposition in those areas.

I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did, and feel free to reach out to me with any feedback. Let's dive in!

Leadership Roles:

As always, I’ll share a few leadership roles at companies that I’m excited about.
